The Presidente Hotel is housed in a mundane, L-shaped, 7-storey block with elegant portico entrance. The interior is attractive and cheerful, with an art-gallery theme throughout. There’s an appealing lobby/lounge well stocked with reproduction oil paintings and a smart long bar with a dance floor. The 253 guestrooms are clean and attractively decorated in an understated style. The large, rectangular pool is surrounded by split-level paved terraces with plastic sun loungers, patio furniture, parasols, palms, tropical foliage, a small rockery and waterfall. Hedges provide some privacy from the road.
