The Avenida Hotel is housed in an unremarkable looking 7-storey building, which dates from the 1950s and was refurbished in 1999. In contrast to the plain exterior, the interior is stylish and tranquil. The spacious reception area is bright and welcoming, with a subdued mezzanine level lounge. Varying in size from medium to large, the 156 guestrooms feature modern décor in cream and pastel shades. All the rooms are well furnished and many feature a balcony. The en suite bathrooms are clean and in a very good condition. The restaurant serves international cuisine and there’s a split-level bar. There’s also a rectangular rooftop pool surrounded by a large, paved sun terrace, which features white plastic furniture and offers views out to sea.
